InkMorph (inkmorph.com) is an AI-powered language learning platform. InkMorph is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: support@inkmorph.com.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your email and name from Google.

Gameplay data: Text you enter during gameplay is transmitted to AI services for grammar analysis and image generation. We store your gameplay text, error analysis results, and game progress.

Technical data: We collect your IP address, browser type, device information, and access timestamps for security and service operation purposes.

Payment data: Payment information (credit card numbers, billing details) is collected and processed exclusively by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record. InkMorph does not receive, store, or have access to your payment card data.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Service delivery: Processing your text through AI for grammar analysis and image generation
• Account management: Authentication, session management, and game progress tracking
• Product improvement: Analyzing aggregate usage patterns to improve the game experience
• Communication: Sending verification emails, password resets, and service-related notices
• Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

4. Third Parties

We share data with the following third parties:

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — Payment processing (Merchant of Record). Paddle's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Google (Gemini API) — Your gameplay text is sent to Google's AI services for language analysis and content generation.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — Your gameplay text may be sent to Anthropic's AI services for language analysis.
• Hetzner Online GmbH — Server hosting and data storage (Helsinki, Finland).
• Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie (gq_session) to keep you logged in. This is an essential, httpOnly cookie required for the service to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies for security purposes.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances

Legal basis for processing:

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and gameplay history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely. Payment records are retained by Paddle in accordance with their retention policy and applicable tax law.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure session management, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, contact us at support@inkmorph.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
